García de Pou is a leading manufacturer of non-food single-use products for the hotel and catering sector. We supply to more than 60 countries, with a production plant of 17,500 m2 and warehouses of 52,550 m2. But at García de Pou we are much more than that.

We are a company committed to caring for the environment and we strive to offer increasingly sustainable solutions to the HORECA sector. These values define us and position us in the sector, which is reflected in the quality of our more than 6000 references and the loyalty of our more than 25,000 customers. The collaboration with WeForest© stems precisely from this environmental awareness.

García de Pou has joined the reforestation and protection project for the coastal forests of the Atlantic region of Brazil. These forests are home to a great biodiversity and are a source of fresh water for the communities in the area. But they also play a key role in climate change mitigation, as they absorb and store a large amount of CO2. In this project, the NGO also promotes sustainable agricultural and livestock practices to reduce pressure on forests and supports communities in their transition to such an economic model that will help mitigate climate change.

**We believe that companies have an obligation to their environment. **
At García de Pou we have been analysing our industrial processes for years in order to reduce, as far as possible, the environmental footprint generated. We have ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification, which allows us to identify the key aspects to guarantee the highest quality service and the areas of impact on the environment, in order to create continuous improvement objectives and an action plan to achieve them.

We also select suppliers certified with the same Environmental Management Systems. We use sustainable, recyclable and/or compostable materials. We have a wide range of ECOLABEL certified products, which guarantee a high level of environmental protection throughout their life cycle. We manufacture some products with 100% recycled paper and we have FSC® and PEFC® certificates, which guarantee that the products come from responsibly and sustainably managed forests.

In 2023, we also installed a new network of solar panels, with the aim of achieving **energy self-sufficiency**, not depending on energy generated by fossil fuels and contributing to the **reduction of our carbon footprint.** Small steps with which we will try to leave a better world to those who come after us.
